Bio

Lisa Raphael was born and raised in Los Angeles. As a young child, she had dreams and aspirations of working in the film and television industry. She would often day dream about her Oscar acceptance speech, while reciting it into her Donnie and Marie Karaoke Microphone. At the age of 8, she forced her dad to buy her a little still camera and she took pictures wherever she went, often not having the money to develop her photos.  She new right from the start that still photography would always be a passion of hers.

She was gradually drawn to film and soon enough video.  She consistantly got in trouble for sneaking out her fathers non functioning super 8 movie camera.  When she got away with it, she would pretend to shoot her favorite TV sitcoms.

At the end of grade school and all through high school Lisa would shoot her own home movies with the help of her fathers RCA Color Video Camera.  She would employ her friends as actors and then use two VCR's to edit the footage together.

After high school she began college and then subsequently worked on her first two films, "Vice Academy Part 2 & 3" and "Marked For Murder". She went from being the Production Assistant, to becoming the 1st Assistant director in the first two weeks of the filming.

During this time, Lisa took her life savings and co-produced her best friend, Kathryn Bailey's first single, "Don't Be Afraid".  She later shot and edited the music video.  Within days of completing the music video, the single was praised by President of Motown Records, Jheryl Busby.

At the age of 19, Lisa began working at Warner Brothers Studios, while still maintaining her freelance work in the flourishing video industry.

Lisa then went on to become the production coordinator of two films shot back to back.  "Good Girls Don't", starring Christopher Night and Renee Estevez (Sister to Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez) and "Mind, Body and Soul," starring Ginger Lynn Allen.  Simultaneously, she managed to produce several music videos and commercials.

Lisa has since worked for Sony Pictures and many other notable production companies.  She also has many credits, in writing, producing, casting and directing various projects.

Lisa began working as the Vice President of Production for LiveUniverse, Inc. in August of 2006.  Working alongside the co-founder of myspace, Brad Greenspan, she has created, produced, directed and written many of the original content shows on LiveUniverse's premiere social networking site, www.livevideo.com . Lisa and her dedicated team, originated and expanded the production department from the ground up.

In 2007, Lisa founded GMM Entertainment and will continue dreaming up projects in the spirit of freelance creation.

The rest is yet to come.
